Surrealism

Surrealism is an artistic and literary movement that originated in the 1920s. It is characterized by its exploration of the unconscious mind and the depiction of dreams and the irrational in art. Surrealist art often incorporates elements of the absurd, the irrational, and the dreamlike. Surrealist artists included Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Max Ernst, among others.
