Poppies in a Gingham Vase – Bright Floral Still Life

Poppies in a Gingham Vase is a loose, confident still life: a generous armful of tangerine and marigold poppies with sprigs of lilac, gathered into a green-and-white checked vase and set against a brushy blush-pink wall.

The pink-and-orange pairing is warm without being heavy, and the gingham check adds a homely, cottage-kitchen note that works beautifully in dining rooms, kitchens, breakfast corners and hallways. It sits happily with painted wood, cane, terracotta and vintage china. Hang it above a console or a kitchen counter, or build a set with other floral still lifes for a collected, maximalist wall.
